About PDF Master Lab

What this site is for
PDF Master Lab is a free website for everyday PDF tasks: merging files, splitting pages, compressing documents and converting pages to images. The product is intentionally small and focused. We build the tools people reach for most often and keep them available without accounts or fees.
The site is aimed at anyone who needs a quick PDF fix without installing desktop software or creating yet another online account — students, freelancers, office workers and privacy-conscious users alike.
- Four core tools: Merge, Split, Compress and PDF to Image
- No sign-up and no paid “pro” tier for the tools themselves
- Designed to work in recent Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari
- Built for short, practical jobs rather than full desktop publishing
Privacy-first by design
Our operating principle is simple: your files should never need to leave your device for these tasks. Processing uses WebAssembly and JavaScript libraries that run inside your browser tab. We do not operate a file-processing backend for the tools, and we do not receive the PDFs you open.
- Files are not uploaded to PDF Master Lab servers for processing
- Theme and language preferences are the only values we store in localStorage
- You can verify network activity in your browser’s developer tools while a tool runs
- Closing the tab ends the in-memory working copies for that session
How the site is funded
PDF Master Lab is free for users. We do not charge for merges, splits, compression or conversions, and we do not sell subscriptions for these tools. Revenue comes from affiliate links and display advertising. Those partnerships help keep the tools free; they do not change how the PDF engines behave.
- Affiliate recommendations may earn a commission if you purchase after clicking
- Display ads may appear on pages when enabled
- Tool order and processing logic are not sold to advertisers
- You never pay us a fee to download your own results
